Metal rings
Apparently the sky is the limit, meaning only the sky is our limit. Is it the same in sewing and tailoring? Are we limited by the texture of the fabric, its colour, or perhaps sewing accessories or the thickness of our wallet? Our grandmothers didn’t have as much choice as we do today, yet they could sew a beautiful wedding dress, a suit, a handbag, and if needed, they would even alter boots so they could wear different ones every year. Today our choice is so vast that the only limitation is time, or the aforementioned firmament. This metaphor of having no limits refers to our imagination, which has no boundaries. We can use every object in an unconventional way and change its functionality. What could be the use, for example, of metal rings? The answer might seem simple. After all, we can use them for hanging net curtains or drapes, for belt loops in a dress, for attaching handbag handles. But a metal ring can be just a starting point for creating interesting items and having fun with fashion. Or how about using a metal ring as a bracelet or earrings? After all, you can make jewellery, if not for yourself, then for the dolls or teddies your daughter plays with. Such jewellery will be cheap and simple to make, and you will spend a pleasant time teaching your daughter that it’s possible to create everyday objects, clothes and jewellery with your own hands.
Metal rings are an excellent base for creating handmade keyrings, fridge magnets or towel hooks. If you are a fan of handicrafts or DIY, you simply must have rings in various sizes. Plastic or metal rings are perfect as decorations, handles, connectors and pendants.
