Pens, pencils, tailor’s markers

No tailor sews “by eye”. Sewing is an activity that requires immense precision. Hence why mathematical and geometrical skills are invaluable. To prepare garments or accessories, you often use patterns, tracing them onto the fabric. Today your work will be made easier by a tailor’s chalk pencil or fabric marker.

Tailor’s pencils, which are offered by the sewing shop Oval are an extremely convenient and practical tool to use. They are available in our range in many colours, which makes using them much easier. Moreover, by matching the colour of the pencil to the colour of the fabric, we reduce the risk that the lines drawn on it will be visible. In addition to traditional tailor’s pencils in their simplest form, we also have those finished with a special brush. This allows you to correct the marked (drawn) pattern on an ongoing basis.  Our range also includes a metal sharpener for professional use. It will help you ensure that your pencils are always properly sharpened. We also offer special pencils that can be used for writing or drawing on plastic, glass or metal. We have many interesting colours available.

In our offer, apart from pencils, there is also a tailor’s marker or tailor’s pen. Both tools will certainly come in handy when sewing. We have self-erasing pens that can be used to draw embroidery and various kinds of patterns. The ink contained in the tool evaporates within 2–10 days, leaving no trace. People who need a more durable solution can opt for a permanent marker. It is available at haberdashery in Łódź in many colour variants. It can be used for writing on almost any surface. It is durable and its colour is intense.

It may happen that the drawn pattern does not correspond to the tailor's final idea. It is a good idea then to have a pen corrector with you, which will allow you to remove the ink without damaging the fabric. No trace will remain of the drawn pattern or lines. It also makes it possible to prepare patterns on an ongoing basis.
