Tape for hemming fabrics, tailor’s tape for ironing on

Do you already know all the possibilities offered by tape for hemming fabrics? It turns out to be a very versatile tool. It allows for adjustments without cutting off a piece of the fabric. All you need is the fabric, the tape and an iron. In just a few moments you can change the look of decorative elements and clothing.

Who among us doesn’t know the problems connected with trousers that are too long? There’s no need anymore to cut off the excess fabric and create a new hem. Iron‑on tailor’s tape will help you solve this troublesome situation. Simply measure the trousers and turn the legs up to the height you want to achieve. Then you just need to place the tape between the two layers of fabric and press the whole thing with an iron. Heat‑activated hemming tape will melt and bond everything together, shortening the trousers to the desired length.

It also happens that a skirt or dress doesn’t fit quite the way we would like. At such times the thought crosses our mind: “if it were just two centimetres shorter, it would be perfect!”. Now you don’t have to give up buying your dream outfit. You only need to use hemming tape, which will help you shorten it to the required length.

Iron‑on tailor’s tape, however, is used much more often, also as part of interior design. It’s a fantastic way to adjust curtains and drapes to the height of your home. With its help you can quickly, in just a few moves, shorten them by several or even a dozen or so centimetres.

Heat‑activated hemming tape is made of a thin, transparent mesh of synthetic material. Under high temperature the mesh melts, bonding two layers of fabric together. This solution is practical and extremely durable. Interestingly, it does not leave any visible marks on the fabric.
