Stay tape is a stabilising tape that prevents stretching of curved elements, e.g. armholes and necklines.It is particularly suitable for use on shoulder seams in knitwear and garments with elastane, on yoke edges and on skirt and trouser waistbands, especially when sewn from stretch fabrics.It is made from fusible interfacing covered with adhesive, cut on the bias and reinforced with a thread.
